Holy Trinity held its Annual Wine and Words celebration in Epiphany at the Wurthmanns home.  For pictures taken during that fine event, click Here or on the picture to the right.
The Vestry unanimously approved the installation of a new state-of-the-art sound system.  The system is now fully installed.
The new system has brought the sound of large Anglican Cathedrals into our Sanctuary.  It will also provide a new dimension to our congregational singing, through the 1907 Brindley & Foster organ from St. Anne's Church in Moseley, England.  Individual pipes were recorded and are re-combined for authentic organ accompaniments to congregational singing, using digital technology from the Crumhorn Lab in England.   Come and hear!  Bring a friend!
Beginning at 5 AM on Saturday, Sept. 15, a group of hardy church members - including teenagers! - began to prepare for the 2nd annual Rummage Sale in the parking lot of Holy Trinity Anglican church.  The first customers appeared in the early twilight, even before the official opening time of 7 AM.  Many treasures were hauled off by neighbors and professional rummage assessors.  Many thanks for the dedicated volunteers who served enthusiastically until about 1 PM, when the unsold remains were loaded onto a rented Van to take the rest to the Church Army near Farmington, MO.  The proceeds of more than $1,600 all went to bolster the Building Fund for an eventual permanent Church home.
The Annual Parish Picnic at the Park was much enjoyed by all who could come.  For pictures from the event, click Here.
The first Sunday after closing the real estate transfer, Holy Trinity held a great Service of Praise and Thanksgiving on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008.  The Church was decked in festival White and filled with a joyful congregation in spite of the remnants of Hurricane Ike passing through the area, flooding streets and even our Undercroft.  The spirit of Thanksgiving for God's goodness will be remembered for a long time.  Pictures from the event are shown  Here.
With the purchase of the Church Facility on Elm Avenue, the Ministry of Fr Kurt and JoAnn Henle came to an end in Webster Groves.  They moved to Traverse City, MI, at the end of October 2008 to answer God's call for planting a new AMiA church in that city.  A link to their new mission church is found under "Links".  Fr. Carey Vinzant was appointed Priest-in-charge while the Vestry conducts its search for a permanent Rector.
The Vestry of Holy Trinity approved the purchase of a New Street Sign. A permit by the city of Webster Groves was granted on Oct. 15 at the Architectural Review Board meeting.  The new sign was constructed by Brentwood Signs etcetera,  http://brentwoodsignsetc.com/.
