Our adherence to historic Anglicanism is evident in our worship, teaching, preaching and fellowship. We are grateful for our bonds with other orthodox Anglicans, including the Reformed Episcopal Church (our roots), and pray for a re-alignment of historic Anglicans in North America and a new measure of unity that would be honoring to our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Faith of Holy Trinity Anglican Church
The English Reformation, unlike the movements led by Luther, Calvin, and others continental reformers, sought not so much to replace the mediaeval Roman Catholic Church, as to return it to its Biblical and historical foundations. The standard of this reform was the teaching of  Holy Scripture, as understood and applied through the tradition of the Church and Holy Reason. Its goal, then, was simply to restore that Catholic faith and practice, which had been held by all Christians for the first thousand years prior to the division of Eastern and Western Church.

As Anglicans, we respect the freedom with respect to non-essentials in the Christian faith while holding to historic Anglicanism as defined in the three catholic Creeds and the 39 Articles of Religion.  Obedient to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20), we primarily seek to bring  the unchurched into discipleship and to a saving knowledge of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We hold to historic norms of morality, liturgical worship, and the historic patristic three-fold ministry of deacons, priests and bishops.  While not every parishioner holds "uniform" views on non-essential faith issues, the parish as a whole believes that it is Holy Trinity's vocation to witness to Christ the Redeemer, and to offer a place for worship and witness to all who hold to  the historic Faith in the greater St. Louis area.

We look forward meeting you at one of our Worship Services in Webster Groves.
Blessings in the name of our Triune God!

Greetings from Fr. Carey Vinzant
A Short Biography of Fr. Carey Vinzant
Carey Vinzant was born in the Jackson, MS area. After finishing High School, he enrolled at Mississippi College in Clinton, MS, planning to pursue a career in engineering or physics.  The call to ministry came during the summer of 1991 while he was volunteering as a counselor at a summer youth camp. After graduating from Missisippi College with a BA in English and Psychology, he enrolled in the Missions Studies program at Wesley Biblical Seminary in Jackson, MS. After completing his MDiv there, he served as a full-time youth pastor in The Missionary Church.

It became clear that God was leading him toward further graduate study. For some time he had been experiencing a growing appreciation for the Anglican tradition.  This finally came to fruition in 2001, when he, along with his wife, Allene, and their son, Patrick, moved to Saint Louis in order for Carey to pursue a PhD in Systematic Theology at Concordia Seminary.  The Vinzants joined the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, out of which the Anglican Church of the Resurrection emerged a few years later.  Carey served as the Curate of the Columba Gathering, a minstry to 20- and 30-somethings in Saint Louis city, from June 2005 to August 2008.
In September 2006 he became part of the pastoral staff at Holy Trinity Anglican Church.  Carey was ordained to the diaconate in January 2005 and to the priesthood in November 2007.  With Fr. Henle's call to plant a new parish in Michigan, the Vestry of Holy Trinity has appointed Fr. Carey to serve as Priest-in-charge, beginning in November 2008.
